RBMK is two person project. They play music that can be describe as electro industrial hardcore. To create specific style they use bass guitar, sampler, vocal and occasionally other electronic treatments such as analog synthesizer, generator, different kind of effects. The basic idea of this project is to create music, that will be extremal and on the other hand to search for the unique sounds and to explore different kind of music solutions.


History of a band:

The beginning o the band finds its place in 1999 when the first tunes were recorded. Lately those recordings were set on the first album. Officially the band started its life in February 2000 and the project was called "RBMK". Original members are Piotr Sawicki - sampler and Krzysztof Kulczyński - vocals and guitar. Lately there came Krzysztof Włodarczyk that was asked to write few lyrics. Few days later he took his part in the rehearsal and played on old analog synthesizer and guitar effects. After few months those three created first demo. In those days they played electro industrial, simply improvising. When Krzysztof Kulczyński left RBMK, Krzysztof Włodarczyk took the vocal role. After that the main part in activity of the band were the rehearsals when they were searching for its own original sound. They also created the soundtrack for the underground movie “Work for money”. RBMK started then creating material for the second album.

Through the year there were few changes in the squad of the band. There came Grzegorz Miszkiewicz – bass guitar, earlier playing in “I don’t know”. After his tragic sudden death the band suspended its activity. When they couldn’t find the bass player there came Paweł Sawicki – guitar, second sampler and Marek Kozłowski – guitar. They brought new energy to the project. Finally after another changes RBMK was band with three musicians. Unfortunately to many argues and bad mood in the band caused that RBMK was disbanded in 2005. The 20 minutes demo and some recordings survived from this time, but it never came out.

Reactivation was called in 2006 after short break. The squad was Piotr Sawicki – sampler, bass guitar and Marek Kozłowski – lyrics, vocals. RBMK started to play concerts and making new fresh material. After short time they created “The bad touch”. It was album compilation of recordings of two concerts. From ''out of control'' festival in Miedzyborz and concert at Browar Mieszczanski in Wrocław.

Now we are happy to inform that RBMK are working on some new material…
